While watering the garden and pulling some weeds tonight, I found some surprises. At first I was concentrating on the weeds cause I pull them while the sprinkler is on. It helps them come out easier, but I also have to listen and then dash out of the way. As I pulled a chunk of crab grass around the zucchini I found this:
the first of the gray zucchini
More things I found:
corn still growing
the last of the onions
baby tomatoes
more tomatoes almost ready
the green beans actually grew up the pole
this bird
volunteer zinnias
a volunteer tomato
I need to start thinking about how to use all of these veggies that grew for us, and the row of cilantro that is still alive.
