The June quilt

I made it back. My luggage is trickling in more slowly but is getting here. I will have a few pictures to post of the trip soon but for now I will post about the quilt I made for June. I finished it right before I left so that I could send it to my mother-in-law for her birthday at the end of the month. I was sure of my mental status after the trip, so I wanted to get it done before hand. Just to make trip prep a little more stressful.

The fabric is Riley Blake Apple of My Eye, my first charm pack. It was definitely nice to not cut so many squares.

I used a white with blue pindot from Walmart for the backing and I really like how it looked after I quilted it together.

Here are a few teasers from my trip pics:

More to come soon!

  2. Wow... the quilt is gorgeous! I know how to sew a (basically) straight line, but I have always wished I could make beautiful quilts like that... You are one talented lady! : )
