In Medellin, Colombia -- the day trip to Guatape

Saturday morning we loaded up on the bus and headed up a windy mountain road to Guatape. The area is famous for El Peñón, a large rock with over 700 steps to the top.

After all that, we were ready to sit down for some lunch.

avocados!

After our meal, we split up to visit the shops in the town and see the sites.

The afternoon was getting late, and it was time to head back to our hotel with our treasures for family and friends-- but not in one of these. My daughter would probably LOVE to have one to drive around on campus by our house! But it wouldn't fit in my suitcase.

That's all from Colombia. It was a great group to work with--our team from Norman, the FBC Wilson group, and all of the leadership we worked with in Medellin. I loved serving with them and with the students.

I will end with an early morning view out my window as we arrived back in the United States in Miami.
