In Medellin, Colombia

At the end of June I boarded a plane with 8 people from my church and headed to Medellin, Colombia. There we met up with 5 other Oklahomans from Wilson, Oklahoma to help host an English language themed Christian youth camp.

Hotel room for me and two of the ladies on our team at Inntu Hotel.

The area outside and around our hotel was so green, lush and perfect for walking. And eating.

The next morning we headed outside of Medellin for camp (a separate post). On Friday afternoon, we finished at the camp and headed back to our original hotel, with a few more days to explore a bit more.

dinner at Parmessano

Strawberry paleta with a strip of nutella in the middle, dipped in chocolate and covered in chocolate chips. Delicious!

On Saturday we visited Guatape (which will also be a separate post), an all-day trip climbing up the rock and then exploring the city. Dinner was at this restaurant around the corner from our hotel.

Sunday morning, we headed back to that bakery for a chocolate croissant and sausage roll, with pineapple and some strawberry juice from the hotel.

Worshipped here on Sunday. Despite all the sugar in my breakfast, I did not fall asleep!

Loved the beauty we saw in these areas of Medellin. Up next: posts for Camp and Guitape.
